On Day 201 of the ongoing genocide in the destroyed Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued the bombing and shelling of various parts of the coastal enclave, killing dozens and wounding hundreds.
In central Gaza, a Palestinian woman was killed, and many were injured when the Israeli army fired artillery shells at homes in the Nusseirat refugee camp.
Casualties were also reported when the army fired missiles at homes in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza.
In Gaza City, a Palestinian woman, Amna Hmeid, and her child, Mahdi, 12, were killed and six were injured when the army fired a missile at their homes, west of the city.
At least three Palestinians were killed and dozens injured when the army fired a missile at a home in the Nasr neighborhood, in Gaza City.
Furthermore, the army fired missiles and shells at the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, and the Sheikh Ejleen neighborhood, west of the city, causing many casualties.
Medical sources said a journalist, Amna Hmeid, and her children, were killed when the army fired a missile at her house in the Shati’ refugee camp, northwest of Gaza City.
The Israeli army also bombarded homes and buildings in Ma’en and Al-Mawasi areas, in Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip’s southern part, killing two Palestinians and wounding dozens.
In Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, the army fired dozens of missiles at areas, in the eastern part of the city.
Medical sources said the Israeli missiles struck a home in the Al-Jneina neighborhood, killing at least four and wounding many others, and a home near the Yousef Najjar Hospital, killing five Palestinians and wounding many.
The Arab League held an urgent meeting and called on the United States and the European Union to stop the transfer of weapons and munition to Israel, and also called for an immediate ceasefire resolution at the Security Council.
The Arab League also warned of the disastrous outcome of Israel’s planned massive ground invasion of Rafah.
It is worth mentioning that Paul O’Brien, the Executive Director at Amnesty International – US, said on X that, using American-made munition, Israel committed war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

His statement came after the U.S. Senate passed $95 Billion in foreign aid, including $26 Billion for Israel, and reaffirmed that Israel is committing war crimes against the Palestinian people.
The European Union and the United States called for what they described as a comprehensive and independent investigation into the mass graves that were found after the army withdrew from several areas in the Gaza Strip, especially in the two largest hospitals in the coastal enclave.
The two medical centers are Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the coastal enclave.
Despite international calls against it, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the army is determined to conduct the ground invasion of Rafah which will likely take place after the Jewish Passover holiday which ends on April 30.
Israel has now killed at least 34.229 Palestinians, and injured more than 77.229, including more than 15.000 children, in several parts of the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
EuroMed Human Rights Monitor has reported that the total number of slain Palestinians (October 7, 2023 – April 23, 2024) is 42.510, including 15.780 children and 10.091 women, and 137 journalists.
Also among the slain Palestinians are 356 healthcare professionals, 549 injured, 42 slain civil defense workers and 161 injured, while Israel’s missiles and shells also damaged 29 hospitals, 72 clinics, and 221 ambulances. The Israeli missiles also destroyed 203 heritage sites.
It added that Israel has displaced 2.000.000 Palestinians of Gaza’s 2.2 million Palestinians, destroyed 131.200 homes, damaged 281.000 homes, destroyed and damage 178 press centers, damaged 445 schools, destroyed 2.271 industrial facilities, in addition to damaging 651 mosque and 3 churches.
