On Friday, day 210 of Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued bombing the Gaza Strip, including the 1.5 million internally displaced Palestinians currently forced to shelter in makeshift tent camps in Rafah.
Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing 26 civilians and injuring 51 civilians, who were taken to Gaza’s few remaining hospitals.
The Israeli occupation army revealed that 5 of its soldiers were injured during the past twenty-four hours.
According to official data published on its website, the number of Israeli soldiers killed during their six-month-long invasion of the Gaza Strip has reached 263, with over 1600 wounded since the beginning of the ground war on October 27.
A number of civilians, most of them children and women, were killed and others were injured, at dawn on Friday, in the shelling of the Israeli occupation on Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Al-Zohour neighborhood in Rafah, killing six civilians and wounding others.
A number of civilians were also injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house near the tents of displaced people in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, while nine civilians were injured in shelling targeting Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Friday that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip mainly targets women.
The agency explained that “the war in Gaza is still a war on women,” noting that “more than 10,000 women were killed and 19,000 others were injured” as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip since the seventh of last October.
“37 children lose their mothers every day,” the UN agency said, stressing that conditions in the Gaza Strip are “appalling”, with more than 155,000 pregnant or lactating women facing severe difficulty in accessing water and sanitary ware.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that the toll of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen since the seventh of last October, to 34,622 martyrs and more than 77,867 injured, in an indefinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under rubble and in the roads and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
