Updated: On Sunday, day 261 of the continuous and un-ending Israeli assault on the entire civilian population of 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza, Israeli bombardment of civilian areas continued non-stop. This is despite condemnation of Israel’s ongoing assault on the civilian population by most of the world’s countries, and the passage of a ceasefire resolution by the United Nations Security Council on March 24th.
At least 5 civilians were killed, and others were injured, in pre-dawn airstrikes on Sunday by Israeli bombardment with warplanes and artillery that targeted the center and west of Gaza City.
A correspondent with the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that three civilians were killed, and others were injured, including children and women, in an Israeli air strike that targeted a residential building near Al-Jawhara Tower in central Gaza City.
Two citizens were killed, and others were injured in a similar Israeli raid that targeted a house in the Shati’ Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City.
Medical sources said the number of slain Palestinians who were killed in Israel’s constant bombing on Gaza city since Saturday is at least 43, in addition to the dozens of wounded Palestinians, including children and women.
The figures were published before the army fired a missile at a home in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, killing eight Palestinians and wounding dozens.
In central Gaza, the army fired a missile at Palestinians near the Power Plant, north of the Nusseirat refugee camp, killing two and wounding several others.
The Israeli army also fired many artillery shells at the western and the southern areas of Rafah, in addition to wiring and detonating many homes in the Al-Barazil neighborhood, in the southern part of the city.
In addition, the Israeli occupation artillery targeted the center and south of the city of Rafah, while the Israeli occupation aircraft dropped a bomb on a home in the north of the city of Rafah.

The bombings on Sunday followed a series of deadly attacks Saturday that resulted in over 100 Palestinians killed.
The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the death of more than 37,551 citizens and the injury of 85,911 others, an infinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
