Israel’s onslaught on the civilian population in the besieged and devastated Gaza Strip continued for the 98th day on Friday, leading to dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Medical sources said Israeli artillery shells struck homes and buildings south of Gaza City, killing at least three Palestinians and wounding many.

The sources added that the Israeli Air Force fired missiles at homes and buildings in the Juhr Ed-Deek area, south of Gaza City, causing several casualties, including fatalities.

In Deir Al-Balah, in Central Gaza, the army fired a missile at a home near the Al-Aqsa Hospital, killing at least six Palestinians and wounding many others.

The army fired many artillery shells at homes and buildings in the Al-Masha’la neighborhood in Deir Al-Balah, in addition to the Nusseirat and the Al-Boreij refugee camps in central Gaza, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians.

In Khan Younis refugee camp in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles killed many Palestinians and injured dozens in a home for the Arram family. The missiles did not only destroy the targeted home but also surrounding homes and buildings in the densely populated refugee camp.

Medical sources in Khan Younis said the Israeli army also targeted Palestinian medics and rescue teams while trying to evacuate the wounded and the dead to Khan Younis Hospital.

It is worth mentioning that, on Thursday night, Israeli missiles killed nine Palestinians and injured dozens after striking a home in the Shouka area, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics moved the slain and the wounded Palestinians to a hospital after removing them from under the rubble of the bombarded home in the Al-Matar Street area in Rafah.

Furthermore, the Israeli army fired missiles at a home for the Abu Lashin near the Rafah crossing in Rafah city, killing at least seven Palestinians, including children, and wounding dozens. The home included families that fled their homes, hoping to be safe in Rafah.

In northern Gaza, the Israeli army continued the strict siege on centers housing hundreds of families that fled their homes and continued to prevent the delivery of fuel to Municipalities that were trying to provide basic services to the residents, forcing them to shut down.

Despite the constant Israeli bombardment and massive destruction, Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire and fired RPH shells at Israeli tanks and armored vehicles in Al-Maghazi and Zawaida in Central Gaza, in addition to Khan Younis and Rafah, in the southern part.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said it documents “13 massacres of entire families in just twenty-four hours, leading to the death of more than 151 Palestinians, largely children and women.”

In addition, the Israeli bombing and the siege has left Al-Aqsa Hospital, including ICU department, in Deir Al-Balah without electricity, due to the fuel shortage that is required to operate the power generators.

In related news, Palestine Telecommunications Company and Ooredoo Palestine Mobile Network announced the loss of all services in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli offense in Gaza and the serious damage to infrastructure, adding that their tech and maintenance workers cannot enter the bombarded areas to try to fix the damaged networks and their infrastructure.

About %90 of the population in the Gaza Strip is now displaced due to the constant and indiscriminate Israeli bombing and shelling in various parts of the Gaza Strip, yet, the army also bombed makeshift shelters and placement facilities, in addition to the bombing of hospitals and clinics.

Israel has now killed at least 23.708 Palestinians and injured more than 60.000 Palestinians, mostly women, children, and the elderly, since October 7, 2023. The figures do not include the thousands of missing Palestinians, largely buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, and those killed in the streets while fleeing the ongoing Israeli bombing.
