Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported, Sunday, that 930 Palestinians have been killed, and 2,811 injured, and 781 bodies recovered from destroyed areas since the start of the declared “ceasefire” agreement in October 2025, underscoring the continued Israeli violations of the truce and the ongoing targeting of civilians.

The sources confirmed that the fatalities include 247 children and 191 women, reflecting the continued impact of Israeli attacks on families and civilian areas across the Gaza Strip.

They added that April was the deadliest month since the beginning of the truce, with 117 Palestinians killed, compared to 79 killed in March, noting that the pace of bombardment and the rising number of casualties continued to increase rapidly throughout May.

The medical sources warned that the health sector in Gaza is facing catastrophic conditions due to the ongoing siege and the prevention of the entry of medicines and medical supplies, which is further worsening the suffering of patients and the wounded.

The sources stressed that most of the victims were killed in strikes on residential neighborhoods, shelters for displaced families, and areas lacking any military presence.

On Sunday, a Palestinian, Sa’id Fayez Shamali, succumbed to serious wounds he suffered earlier when the Israeli army bombarded the area of Firas Street in the center of Gaza City.

On Saturday, Israeli warplanes and artillery carried out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip, killing a Palestinian doctor and another civilian, and wounding several others in a series of strikes targeting residential areas, markets, and densely populated neighborhoods in the central, northern, and eastern parts of the besieged enclave.

The cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,938 Palestinians killed and 172,919 wounded, the Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed on May 30, 2026.
