On Wednesday, Israeli occupation authorities informed 37 international aid organizations that beginning January 1, 2026, they will be prohibited from operating in the Palestinian territories, including the West Bank and Gaza.
Media sources reported that the occupation intends to bar 37 international organizations from working inside of Palestine, under the supposed grounds that they do not conform to the new rules for international organizations operating in the Gaza Strip.
The occupation seeks to prevent international organizations including Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières), Action Against Hunger, Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and the Campaign for the Children of Palestine from providing assistance for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) warned that a large portion of Palestinians in Gaza will lose access to critical medical care and access to clean water if Israeli authorities ban their humanitarian activities in Gaza in 2026.
The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) has served nearly 500,000 Palestinians through its essential support in Gaza’s devastated health-care system.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the occupation authorities decision to revoke the permits of 37 humanitarian relief organizations.
The Ministry said that it rejects the pretext provided by the Israeli occupation, for banning humanitarian organizations, calling the move an act of piracy, bullying, in violation of international law.
In a press statement, on Wednesday, Fatah Central Committee member Dalal Salameh said that the Israeli occupation’s decisions to cancel the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), ban humanitarian organizations, and prevent international journalists from entering the Gaza Strip, all fall within the context of Israel’s contempt for all international treaties.
