A large Israeli army force invaded Kufur Qaddoum village, Saturday, during the weekly march, and fired tear-gas canisters, causing dozens to suffocate.
The Coordinator of the popular resistance committee, Morad Eshteiwi, stated that occupation soldiers opened fire with tear-gas canisters causing several civilians, including women and children, to choke.
Eshteiwi added that the army fired at civilians and their property, during the suppression of local youths rejection of the army incursion. Young Palestinian men hurled rocks with slingshots, towards the invading occupation soldiers.
Local Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum, and surrounding communities east of Qalqilia, in the northern West Bank, have organized weekly peaceful processions on Friday and Saturday, to pressure the Israeli authorities to re-open the road closed to Palestinians in 2003.
On Friday, local youths were successful in knocking down an army drone used by the Israeli military to deliver a large number of tear-gas bombs below its target.
