On Saturday, groups of fanatic illegal Israeli colonizers carried out multiple assaults against Palestinians and their property in Ramallah, in the central part of the occupied West Bank, and in the Northern Plains.
The colonizers launched coordinated attacks across several Palestinian villages, torching property, attacking homes, and instilling fear among residents, while Israeli military forces simultaneously conducted incursions in the region.
In the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, paramilitary colonizers set fire to several vehicles and mobile homes during a massive assault on the community.
Local sources confirmed that colonizers also targeted residential homes and stormed the agricultural plain of Marj Si’ah, located between al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, east of Ramallah. Residents confronted the attackers in defense of their land and homes.
During the attacks, the colonizers cut down more than 200 olive trees in Palestinian orchards in the meadow between al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, before Israeli soldiers invaded the area and fired live rounds at Palestinians, wounding one, while they were trying to fend off the assailants.
In addition, a paramilitary Israeli colonizer fired live ammunition at Palestinian civilians near the entrance of the town of ‘Atara, north of Ramallah.
At dawn on Friday, colonizers invaded the eastern part of ‘Atara, setting fire to four vehicles and parts of a residential home. Racist slogans were also spray-painted on walls. Israeli occupation forces later invaded the area to secure protection for the assailants.
Two days earlier, colonizers re-erected colonial tents on the lands of Jabal Khirbet Tarfin, near the entrance of ‘Atara. The structures had previously been dismantled by Israeli forces on four separate occasions.
The colonialist outpost was first established on Monday to seize control of the mountain, which spans approximately 2,000 dunums and is recognized as an archaeological site.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces invaded the village of Deir Ibzi’, west of Ramallah, on Saturday evening and closed streets before withdrawing.
The same area was invaded by colonizers the previous day, during which olive trees belonging to Palestinian farmer Atef Hamayel were deliberately uprooted and destroyed.
In a separate incident in the northern Jordan Valley, colonizers invaded the tents of Palestinian resident Shamikh Daraghmeh in the al-Farisiya area, sparking panic among the residents, especially the children.
Just days earlier, the colonizers attacked Daraghmeh’s family, injuring one of his sons, who required hospitalization for bruises sustained during the assault.
On Friday, the colonizers forcibly removed two Palestinian Bedouin families from the Shallal al-Auja area, located north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation issued six tenders for the construction and expansion of colonial project, totaling around 4,000 units in the illegal colonies of “Ariel” in Salfit Governorate and “Ma’ale Adumim” in the Jerusalem Governorate.
Last Friday, Israeli occupation authorities compelled a Palestinian resident to carry out the demolition of his own home in the town of Sur Baher, located south of occupied East Jerusalem.
These attacks reflect a persistent pattern of colonizers’ violations and military complicity that continues to threaten Palestinian lives, property, and agricultural livelihoods across the occupied West Bank.
According to the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation forces and colonizers conducted over 1,821 documented violations in July alone.
Of these, 1,355 were committed by Israeli soldiers, while colonizers perpetrated 466 attacks. The majority were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh (302), Hebron (300), and Nablus (293).
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
