Nine Palestinians were killed and others injured, Friday, in an airstrike targeting displaced persons’ tents in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, and a charity kitchen in northern Gaza City.

“The international community has a choice – to keep scrolling through the grisly images of Gaza being suffocated and starved or muster the courage and the moral fiber to make decisions that would break this merciless blockade.”

Furthermore, five-year-old Murad Ala’ Abu Mogheisib succumbed to injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike the previous day, which hit the Al-Baraka area in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that UNICEF has raised alarm over the worsening conditions for children in Gaza, warning that they face increasing risks of hunger, disease, and death due to the ongoing Israeli blockade, which has now lasted two months.
In a statement, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell emphasized the dire humanitarian situation, pointing to the severe restrictions on aid and essential supplies. She reiterated calls for an end to the blockade, the entry of commercial goods, and the urgent need to safeguard children.
“For two months, children in Gaza have endured relentless bombardment while being deprived of necessities and life-saving medical care. Every additional day that aid is blocked increases their risk of malnutrition, illness, and death—an unacceptable reality that must not continue,” Russell stated.
Medical sources report that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes across Gaza since early morning has risen to at least 51 in addition to dozens of injuries.
