UNRWA’s statements come in light of the ongoing bombing and direct targeting of hospitals, in an attempt to destroy the health system in the north and south, as the three public hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, namely: Kamal Adwan, Beit Hanoun, and the Indonesian, have all been put out of service, due to the escalation of the occupation’s aggression. Only 14 hospitals out of 36 in Gaza are now partially operating, and are facing a severe shortage of supplies, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the killing of 45,936 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 109,274 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
