Israeli forces killed two Palestinians on Monday in separate attacks across the southern Gaza Strip, while limited ground incursions and continued gunfire were reported in several neighborhoods of Gaza City.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said the humanitarian situation remains catastrophic, with rescue teams unable to reach many victims trapped under rubble or in areas exposed to Israeli fire.

Medical sources confirmed that Mahmoud Suleiman al‑Faq’awi was killed after Israeli forces opened fire near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

In a separate attack, Mohammad Mahfouz Shallouf was killed in the al‑Mawasi area west of Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, where displaced families have repeatedly come under fire despite the declared ceasefire.

In Gaza City, an Israeli armored engineering unit carried out a limited incursion around the al‑Hashimiya School near Salahuddin Street in the Tuffah neighborhood. Troops bulldozed land and demolished what remained of several homes, while Merkava tanks fired intermittently to cover the invasion. Residents reported heavy gunfire and sporadic artillery shelling around the area.

Israeli forces also opened fire on civilians in the Shuja’iyya and Zeitoun neighborhoods east of Gaza City, injuring two Palestinians.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said hospitals received four new fatalities and ten wounded Palestinians in the past 24 hours.

Since the “ceasefire” announcement on October 11, 2025, Israeli forces have killed 754 Palestinians and wounded 2,100, while civil defense teams have recovered 760 bodies.

The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,333 Palestinians killed and 172,202 injured.

The Health Ministry stated that many victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them due to ongoing Israeli fire and the destruction of access routes.
