Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday killed six Palestinians and wounded others, as bombardment, artillery fire, and ground incursions continued in multiple areas of the besieged enclave.
Medical teams, humanitarian agencies, and civil defense units reported a steady rise in casualties amid severe restrictions on movement, destroyed infrastructure, and the near‑collapse of Gaza’s health system.
In central Gaza, three Palestinians were killed and several others wounded—five of them critically—when Israeli warplanes struck the area surrounding Al‑Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al‑Balah.
The strike triggered panic among displaced families sheltering in and around the medical complex, one of the few partially functioning hospitals remaining in the central Strip.
Media sources in Gaza said the Israeli bombing struck a kitchen operated by a charitable organization in central Gaza Strip, killing the three Palestinians and injuring others.
In southern Gaza, Israeli aircraft bombed the Al‑Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing one Palestinian and injuring others.
Artillery units simultaneously shelled eastern Khan Younis, intensifying pressure on neighborhoods already devastated by months of military operations.
Residents reported heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles, naval boats, and drones targeting residential areas, forcing families to flee deeper into western Khan Younis and toward the coastal displacement zones.
In Gaza City, nine Palestinians were injured when an Israeli airstrike hit the vicinity of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation building in the Tel al‑Hawa neighborhood.
One Palestinian was also injured when an Israeli army sharpshooter shot him in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
Ambulance crews transferred the wounded to Al‑Quds Hospital, operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, which continues to function despite severe shortages of fuel, medical supplies, and staff.
Furthermore, the Gaza Civil Defense announced the death of Jihad Salman, who succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli strike on Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Civil Defense teams noted that many injured Palestinians remain trapped under rubble or stranded in streets that ambulances cannot reach due to ongoing bombardment and destroyed roads.
Residents in eastern Khan Younis reported that Israeli tanks and bulldozers advanced again early Sunday, pushing what is known as the “yellow line” deeper into Palestinian neighborhoods under heavy fire.
According to local witnesses, the military expanded its control from Raed al‑Roqab Street in Bani Suheila toward Salahuddin Street and further into the Abu Shaab neighborhood.
This marks the ninth such advance this year, part of repeated shifts in Israeli field positions between Bani Suheila and the area north of Dar al‑Salam Hospital. The movement forced the displacement of the al‑Ruqab and Abu Shaab families, who fled toward western Khan Younis and the Al‑Mawasi coastal zone.
On its part, the Israeli military announced it had killed Baha’ Baroud, described as a commander in Hamas’ operations headquarters in Gaza, in an airstrike on Saturday. The army claimed he had been involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that six Palestinians were killed and nineteen wounded in the past 48 hours.
The ministry warned that many victims remain unrecovered due to the inability of rescue teams to access bombed areas.
The Health Ministry confirmed that the overall death toll in Gaza since has risen to 72,763 Palestinians, with 172,664 wounded since October 7, 2023. Since the “ceasefire” declared on October 11, 2025, 871 Palestinians have been killed and 2,562 wounded, while 776 bodies have been recovered from destroyed buildings.
