Two Palestinians, including an eight-year-old child, were reported dead in Gaza on Friday: the child died of wounds sustained from Israeli gunfire, while rescue crews recovered the body of a man killed in an earlier Israeli airstrike. Renewed Israeli bombardment and gunfire also injured several Palestinians amid continuing violations of the ceasefire agreement.

In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, Yamen Hisham Yahya Saqer, 8, died on Friday of wounds sustained when Israeli forces shot him in the Qizan Rashwan area on Wednesday, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Rescue and Civil Defense crews recovered the body of Mohammad Musallam Atwan Iq‘ais, 47, from the al-Waha area north of Gaza City on Friday. He had been killed in an Israeli airstrike there three days earlier.

Also, an Israeli drone strike injured several Palestinians in the al-Maslakh area west of Khan Younis. Another Palestinian suffered serious injuries in a strike on the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Israeli drones also dropped bombs south of Khan Younis, while military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.

The attacks come amid continuing Israeli violations of the ceasefire, including aerial and artillery bombardment, gunfire, and targeted killings. Israeli forces have also continued expanding the territory under their military control by moving and extending the so-called “Yellow Line.”

The expansion of the Yellow Line reduces the areas accessible to Palestinians and leaves large parts of Gaza under military threat despite the ceasefire agreement.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza had not released a separate casualty bulletin for Friday at the time of reporting. The ministry normally includes Friday’s casualties in its Saturday bulletin, which covers the preceding 48 hours.

In its Thursday, October 29, update, the ministry reported that 1,574 Palestinians had been killed and 5,687 injured since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11, 2025.

The same update put the cumulative toll since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, at 74,570 Palestinians killed and 175,808 injured. These are the ministry’s previously published figures, not an updated total for Friday.
