On Thursday night, the Israeli army invaded Rommana village, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and fired dozens of flares, causing a large fire that consumed hundreds of olive trees near the illegal Annexation Wall.
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) said the olive orchards are owned by the Abu Bakr, al-Ahmad, and Bushnaq families, in Shamrakh Mountain, near the Salem Israeli military base and security center.
The fire consumed hundreds of olive trees and samplings before the Palestinian firefighters could contain it, especially since their arrival was delayed by the Israeli military roadblocks in the area.
The locals also rushed to the lands and brought water tanks to help extinguish the fire before it spread to more lands and orchards in the area.
