Illegal Israeli settlers, on Saturday, set up many mobile homes on Palestinian-owned lands near the central West Bank city of Salfit and attacked a Palestinian family near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Salfit
On Saturday evening, illegal Israeli colonizers erected caravans on Palestinian-owned lands in Deir Istiya town, northwest of Salift in the central occupied West Bank.
According to Firas Dhiyab, the town’s mayor, the settlers opened fire at Palestinian citizens, forcing them to leave the area, before erecting their mobile homes in the “Al-Qa’dah” area of the town.
Bethlehem
Meanwhile, a group of illegal settlers assaulted a Palestinian family in Kisan village, east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
According to the head of the Bethlehem office of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Hasan Breijiyya, a croup of illegal colonists attacked the Al-Sawarka family in their tent in the “Wadi Bass” area.
Breijiyya added that the family was forced to leave their own land as a result of the harassment, in which the settlers threatened the family not to return and attempted to steal their tractor.
In related news, Israeli occupation authorities plan to expropriate 76 dunams of Palestinian-owned lands in the towns of Al-Khader, Husan, and the village of Battir, southwest, west, and northwest of Bethlehem, respectively.
According to Hasan Breijiyya, Israeli authorities approved the decision to seize 76 dunams of Palestinian-owned land, for the purpose of expanding the road #60, a major route serving illegal colonizers traveling between colonies.
