On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers fired a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades at a Palestinian home in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, wounding an entire family, including children.

Fu’ad Al-Amour, the coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Hebron, said several army jeeps invaded the Tiwani village in Masafer Yatta before the soldiers fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at the home of Kamal Rib’ey.

Al-Amour said the soldiers immediately fired the gas bombs and concussion grenades after invading the village, even though no protests were taking place.

Kamal’s elderly mother, Fatima Al-Amour, lost consciousness due to the severe effects of tear gas inhalation, and several family members, including children, suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.

Masafer Yatta is subject to constant assaults and violations by Israeli soldiers and paramilitary colonizers amidst Israeli plans to displace hundreds of families from smaller villages and Bedouin communities to replace them with illegal colonies and colonialist outposts.
