On Friday, Israeli occupation forces illegally confiscated Palestinian agricultural land in the village of Thaher al-Abed, located in the southern region of Jenin governorate in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, as part of colonialist expansions.
Landowner Jihad Amarna stated that the Israeli soldiers marked off a 13-dunum plot belonging to his family with orange signs before proceeding to bulldoze the and uproot them.
Amarna added that the land is now being cleared to make way for a new segregated road for the illegal colonizers, linking the hilltop colonialist outpost established on the mountains of Khirbet Masoud with adjacent areas.
He emphasized that this is not an isolated case; last week, occupation bulldozers began carving out roads in and around Khirbet Masoud, in preparation for expanding the pastoral colonialist outpost first established on stolen Palestinian lands in 2019.
Farmers in the area continue to face systematic aggression from the paramilitary colonizers, including repeated physical assaults, bringing their livestock to graze on fertile Palestinian farmlands, in addition to acts of vandalism and intimidation.
Khirbet Masoud falls under the jurisdiction of the Zabbouba village council and is home to three small communities: ‘Iraq al-Dowwar, Khirbet Faris, and Khirbet al-Qosour, with a total population of approximately 350 residents.
Local sources report ongoing land clearing around the outpost, with dozens of agricultural dunums seized by Israeli authorities.
The targeted area stretches from Qaffin to the mountain range surrounding Ya’bad, marking a significant expansion of settlement control in southern Jenin.
Earlier Friday, the paramilitary Israeli colonizers launched a series of violent attacks in the northern occupied West Bank, targeting residential areas and other property in and around Nablus.
On Friday evening, Israeli colonizers and soldiers invaded the outskirts of Douma town, south of Nablus, leading to protests, before the army fired many live rounds.
Also Friday, Israeli colonizers burned six residential barracks in the Arab Mleihat community, northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
On Thursday evening, illegal Israeli colonizers carried out several attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the governorates of Nablus, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Salfit, causing damage. In Ramallah, occupation forces providing protection for the colonizers, opened fire towards Palestinians, shooting a young man.
At dawn on Thursday, Israeli soldiers and illegal paramilitary colonizers invaded the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part, resulting in the death of a Palestinian man following a series of violations by the colonizers, who torched homes and cars.
Since the beginning of this year, colonizers violations have escalated significantly, with 2,153 documented assaults.
These attacks have resulted in the killing of four Palestinian civilians and included armed invasions, arson targeting residential homes, live fire against unarmed residents, the establishment of colonialist outposts, illegal land grabs, and organized assaults on infrastructure and vehicles.
The most violent incidents were recorded recently in Kafr Malik, Al-Mughayyir, Beita, and Sinjil, reflecting an increasingly coordinated pattern of aggression.
Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 191 Palestinian citizens, in the occupied West Bank, including 37 children and 6 women.
Occupation forces have killed 65 Palestinians in Jenin, 33 in Nablus, 27 in Tubas, 17 in Tulkarem, 15 in Hebron, 12 in Ramallah, 9 in Bethlehem, 5 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.
