Israeli forces killed two Palestinians, including a journalist, and wounded nine other journalists after an airstrike targeting a press tent near the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip
The Quds News Network (QNN) reported that the Palestinian journalist, Helmi Al-Faqa’wi and the young man, Yusuf Al-Khazandar were killed before dawn on Monday, when occupation warplanes targeted a tent for journalists in Khan Younis.
Al Jazeera correspondent reported that its cameraman, Mahmoud Awad, was wounded in the Israeli airstrike, while journalist Hassan Aslih and several others were also injured.
QNN published another video showing young men retrieving a charred body from the bombing site, while other sources released disturbing video footage of Palestinian journalist Ahmad Mansour enveloped in flames.
QNN reported that the journalist Ihab Al-Bardini suffered shrapnel wounds to his head, damaging his eye; video evidence shows Al-Bardini on life support in the hospital.
The same source reported that Palestinian journalist Mohamed Fayeq was wounded as a result of the Israeli airstrike at the Nasser Medical Complex.
In response, the Palestinian Journalists Forum denounced Israel’s intentional targeting of journalists, calling the bombing a heinous crime, violating International Law, and accused Israel of killing press workers to silence the truth of its crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
