The Israeli forces also shot and injured two other children with live ammunition. The ministry described the incident as yet another example of extrajudicial killings.

In its statement, the ministry criticized Israel’s continuous evasion of accountability, which it said encourages the occupying power to commit further violations and crimes.

It called for urgent actions to stop the genocide, forced displacement, and crimes committed by Israeli forces and settler militias against Palestinians. Furthermore, the ministry urged for the implementation of international protection mechanisms, especially for Palestinian children.
