Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks killed a Palestinian family of three and several other civilians across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, as bombardment intensified in multiple residential areas amid ongoing Israeli military violations.
In Gaza City, a Palestinian man was killed, and others were wounded, when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of civilians near the Khalil al‑Wazir Mosque in the Sheikh Ejleen neighborhood southwest of the city.
he Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, was also struck by renewed artillery fire, with residents reporting continuous explosions and extensive damage to homes and civilian infrastructure.
In central Gaza, four members of one family were killed at dawn in Deir al‑Balah when Israeli helicopter gunships bombed their home.
Medical teams confirmed the deaths of Omar Sami Ahmad Abu Qassem, 33, his wife Asma’ Ghazi Abu Qassem, and their six‑year‑old daughter Habiba, after the house was hit directly. The only survivor is three‑year‑old Sami.
Artillery fire continued throughout the morning in areas northeast of the al‑Bureij refugee camp, with additional rounds striking the camp’s surroundings.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces carried out extensive demolition operations in the Qizan an‑Najjar area south of Khan Younis.
Furthermore, Israeli drones dropped explosive devices near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of the city, while tanks fired heavy rounds toward eastern neighborhoods, adding to the widespread destruction reported across the southern region.
In northern Gaza, Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians, including a woman, on Tuesday in an airstrike targeting a police point in the al‑Fallujah area west of Jabalia refugee camp.
Later that same day, Israeli warplanes bombed the Jabalia police station, killing seven members of the civil police, including an officer from the women’s police unit.
The Gaza Interior Ministry identified the slain officers as Muhammad Salem, a police captain in Jabalia; Yamen Obeid; Abdul Malik Abu al‑Jibeen; Ghassan al‑Daqas; Mufid Halawa; Ibrahim Mousa; and Fatima Zaqout, who served in the women’s police unit.

The ministry noted that these officers were the same personnel accused earlier in the week by UN humanitarian coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov of obstructing a World Food Programme aid delivery in Jabalia.
The ministry rejected the allegation, stating that police intervened to stop an attempted theft and discovered contraband inside the trucks.
Israel’s COGAT office later repeated Alakbarov’s claim to accuse Hamas of interfering with aid distribution.
Hours later, Israeli forces struck the station, killing all seven officers, in what Palestinian authorities described as part of a sustained campaign targeting Gaza’s civil police.
According to the Interior Ministry, approximately 3,000 of Gaza’s 10,000 civil police personnel have been killed since the beginning of the assault, many while performing their duties.
Medical teams said hospitals across Gaza received 13 Palestinians killed over the past 24 hours, including 12 killed in new strikes and one who succumbed to earlier wounds. Another 18 Palestinians were injured.
Since the declared ceasefire on October 11, 2025, hospitals in Gaza have documented 1,123 Palestinians killed and 3,616 injured, along with 800 bodies recovered from destroyed areas. Cumulative figures reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry since the beginning of the Israeli assault on October 7, 2023, show 73,246 Palestinians killed and 173,727 injured.
Emergency crews continue to report victims trapped under rubble and in streets they cannot reach due to ongoing bombardment and the destruction of access roads.
