Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, injuring a child, abducting dozens of Palestinians, and imposing movement restrictions through widespread home invasions, military roadblocks, and closures of main roads and village entrances.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Bani Na’im, east of Hebron, firing heavy live ammunition at homes and civilian vehicles.
A 16‑year‑old child was shot in the chest and transported by Palestinian Red Crescent Society medics to a nearby hospital, where his condition was described as stable.
In nearby Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, soldiers broke into numerous homes, searched and ransacked them, and abducted more than thirty members of the Awwad family before transferring them to a military installation inside the illegal colony of Karmei Tzur.
The army further tightened restrictions on movement by sealing the town’s last remaining open road with earth mounds after previously closing all other entrances, preventing residents from reaching workplaces and essential services. The soldiers also abducted three Palestinians in the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, during another invasion.
Still in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, and abducted three residents Jom’a Nahed al‑Jojo, 44, Ahmad Adel Hijahra, 33, and Ra’fat Riyad Musleh, 35—after breaking into their homes and searching them.
The army also closed the main entrance to the western rural area at the al‑Shuli location with a metal gate, blocking access to Battir, Nahalin, Husan, and Wadi Fukin. Soldiers stopped vehicles, searched them, and inspected identity cards, causing severe traffic congestion throughout the area.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the town of al‑‘Eizariya, southeast of the city, and abducted a resident after breaking into his home. Soldiers also invaded al‑Jib, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, and abducted Atta Jaber following a similar home invasion and search.
The army further tightened restrictions at the Beit Iksa military roadblock, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, conducting prolonged inspections of vehicles and identity cards.
The measures caused long delays, heavy traffic congestion, and obstructed movement for residents traveling between Jerusalem and surrounding villages. The Beit Iksa military roadblock is one of several permanent barriers Israel maintains around occupied Jerusalem, where intermittent tightening of procedures routinely disrupts civilian movement and access to workplaces and educational institutions.
In the central West Bank, Israeli forces installed a military roadblock at the roundabout of the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, stopping vehicles, inspecting identity cards, and searching several cars, which obstructed movement throughout the area.0
Soldiers also abducted Ali Hamdan, 31, after breaking into and searching his home in the village of Beit Sira, west of Ramallah.
In addition, several Israeli military vehicles invaded the city of Nablus and surrounding communities in the northern West Bank, closing streets and intersections and conducting extensive searches.
In the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, breaking into several homes and abducting three residents, Rida Mohammad Younis, 18, Mohammad Ali Bisharat, 48, and Mohammad Ayed Bisharat, 21. Soldiers spread through multiple neighborhoods during the invasion.
In the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted five Palestinians east of Qalqilia after invading and searching homes in the villages of Hajja, Jinsafut, and Baqat al‑Hatab. Those abducted were identified as Nour Barghouthi and Fahed Barghouthi from Baqat al‑Hatab, and Abdul Karim Basheer, Taher Mahmoud al‑Seif, and Mahmoud al‑Seif from Jinsafut.
Soldiers also invaded Hajja through its main entrance and erected a military roadblock, stopping residents, inspecting identity cards, and conducting field interrogations.
Furthermore, Israeli forces invaded the town of ‘Anabta, east of Tulkarem, also in northwestern West Bank, breaking into numerous homes and subjecting residents, including former political prisoners, to prolonged field interrogations inside one of the homes where they were held for several hours.
This report documents some of the invasions, abductions, and violations reported and verified at the time of publication and cannot cover all incidents due to the continuity of these invasions across the occupied West Bank.
