Earlier Thursday, Israeli soldiers abducted at least 25 Palestinians, including former political prisoners, from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said.

In a statement, the PPS stated that among the abducted Palestinians are former political prisoners who were released under the recent indirect prisoner-swap agreement.

The detainees are Saed Al-Fayed, Ibrahim Atiya, and Sa’id Thiab, who were imprisoned for 22 years before their recent release, Mahdi Akkas who was imprisoned for eight years, and Hamza Shreim who was imprisoned for 14 months, all from Qalqilia, in addition to Salama Qattawi who was imprisoned for fifteen years.

The PPS said Israel has been deliberately re-abducting former political prisoners, especially shortly after their release, and added that six of them are now held under Administrative Detention orders, without charges or trial.
