Israeli forces killed, on Wednesday, two Palestinians and injured four others after bombing a Palestinian-owned home, in the Nur Shams refugee, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.
Update: According to Ma’an News, a third young man was killed during the aggression against the Nur Shams refugee camp, he was identified as Moatasem Al-Ali.
Palestine TV reported that the body of the slain young man was confiscated by the occupation army and taken to an unknown location.
Before dawn on Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by heavy equipment, invaded the city of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank from its western entrance.
Many armored vehicles, including a bulldozer and a front-end loader and headed towards the Nur Shams refugee camp east of the city where they invaded several citizens’ homes.
The army positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of citizens’ homes while a military bulldozer destroyed infrastructure in many areas in the Nur Shams refugee camp.
Occupation soldiers opened fire at vehicles on Al-Sikka Street in Tulkarem, and deployed an infantry unit along Nablus Street between the Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps.
Armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army and targeted armored vehicles with explosive devices, while reconnaissance drones hovered over the camp at a low altitude.
Military vehicles destroyed streets, alleys, water and sewage networks, in addition to citizens’ property, while a power outage affected large parts of the camp.
Media sources added that military vehicles blocked ambulance crews from reaching the Nur Shams camp.
Media sources said that the occupation forces besieged the Nur Shams refugee camp and caused widespread destruction to the infrastructure after a six-hour-long incursion.
Later it was reported that Israeli forces fired several “Energa” missiles at the home of Issam Al-Ali, after besieging it in the Al-Damj neighborhood in the Nur Shams camp, while bulldozers demolished parts of the home.
After the army withdrew from the camp, ambulance crews were able to approach the bombed home and recover the bodies of two slain young men, and transport them to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital.
On Wednesday evening, the Ministry of Health reported that Ziad Ali Daama, 39, and Islam Ibrahim Al-Ali, 36, were killed as a result of the Israeli missiles.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that their crews dealt with a total of nine injured citizens, five of whom were shot with live ammunition, while four suffered injuries from missile fragments as a result of the occupation bombing.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), the army abducted three former prisoners at dawn Wednesday.
The abductees were identified as Saher Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Basha, 42, Ahmed Muhammad Bashir Al-Jayousi, and Ihab Salim Ahmed Tayeh, 28.
