Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the fragile “ceasefire agreement” in the Gaza Strip for the 214th consecutive day on Monday, carrying out renewed artillery strikes, home demolitions, and heavy gunfire across several areas of the besieged enclave.
Israeli forces shot and injured two displaced Palestinians in Gaza City and Beit Lahia on Monday.
The attacks came amid renewed Israeli gunfire, military activity, and the abduction of six Palestinian fishermen by the Israeli navy off the coast of central Gaza.
Local sources said an Israeli soldier shot a displaced Palestinian near the As‑Samer junction in central Gaza City, while another man was injured by Israeli gunfire in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the Strip.
Civil Defense teams reported that one of the victims sustained moderate wounds after Israeli forces opened fire toward displaced families in northern Gaza.
In a separate incident, the Israeli navy abducted six Palestinian fishermen while they were working off the coast of az-Zawayda and Gaza City.
Three of the detainees were identified as Saeed Adel Abu Riyala, 31, Moath Adel Abu Ryala, 23, and Bara’ Adel Abu Ryala, 22. The identities of the remaining fishermen were not immediately known.

The shootings and arrests occurred as Israeli forces continued to carry out violations of the declared ceasefire, including intermittent gunfire and limited shelling targeting civilian areas.
Residents reported ongoing drone activity and sporadic attacks that have heightened tension across several neighborhoods despite the truce remaining nominally in effect.
The “ceasefire,” brokered in Sharm al‑Sheikh by Arab and U.S. mediators, entered into effect on October 11, 2025, more than two years after the start of the genocide in Gaza and the widespread destruction that followed.

Despite the declared truce, multiple areas of the Gaza Strip witnessed ongoing military escalation, including artillery shelling, drone activity, and the demolition of civilian homes, underscoring the continued instability on the ground.
Israeli artillery units fired several shells toward the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy machine‑gun fire from Israeli tanks positioned along the perimeter.
Similar bursts of gunfire targeted neighborhoods east of Gaza City, while Israeli drones conducted intensive flights over various parts of the Strip.
During the early morning hours, Israeli forces detonated and destroyed several homes in the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City. Residents reported hearing powerful explosions that extended to northern areas of the Strip as military operations continued.
