The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said, Sunday, that the Israeli army continued its siege and targeting of the Society’s Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, for the 42nd consecutive day, which led to the deterioration of the already catastrophic conditions in the hospital.
In its statement, the PRCS said that its stock of food supplies and the fuel used to run its hospital’s generators, will run out in about a week and that it will run out of water in just three days.
The PRCS also warned of the spread of infectious diseases among the displaced due to the accumulation of waste, and the lack of water, in addition to various issues, including the lack of milk, especially for babies and children, and the lack of diapers.
It is also running out of essential medications, including for chronic conditions, and laboratory and other essential medical supplies.
Furthermore, the PRCS explained that the Israeli military vehicles and tanks are always stationed in the vicinity of its hospital, and have repeatedly fired at it, posing serious risks to the lives of families, patients, and staff, especially since the army is targeting medical staff moving between the hospital’s various facilities and floors.
On Sunday dawn, Day 149 of the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed dozens of Palestinians in homes and residential blocs in several parts of the destroyed coastal enclave.
Over the last 24 hours, the Israeli army committed ten massacres against Palestinian families, killing 92 and wounding 165, including many children and women.
Israel has now killed more than 30.410 Palestinians, and injured at least 71.700, including many women and children, since October 7, 2023.
