On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers demolished an under-construction water well on Palestinian land in Kafr Laqif village, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Moayyad Assaf, a Kafr Laqif Village Council member, said the soldiers invaded the Al-Gharaba area and poured concrete into an under-construction water well.

Assaf added that soldiers demolished the well, which belongs to the Village Council, without a prior warning or notification.

The Council started building well about a year earlier to provide water for around 1200 farmers, but the army kept stopping the works in numerous invasions.

The well’s demolition led to at least 200.000 Shekels in financial losses and other damage due to the invasion.
