Israeli occupation forces demolished multiple Palestinian homes, residential structures, and commercial buildings on Sunday in the Jenin and Jerusalem districts, displacing families and expanding a months‑long campaign targeting communities in Area C.
In the Khur al‑Dab’a area of Barta’a ash‑Sharqiya, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces demolished several homes, commercial buildings, and storage facilities after an Israeli court issued demolition orders under the pretext of “building without a permit.”
Large military units sealed all access roads leading to the area and prevented residents from reaching their properties during the operation.
The community has faced repeated demolitions for months, and today’s destruction marks the second demolition in one week, following the demolition of eight homes and structures last Monday.
Residents said soldiers forced families out before the bulldozers began work, leaving several households displaced.
The area lies within Area C, where Israel systematically denies Palestinians building permits while expanding nearby colonies.
In the Jerusalem District, Israeli bulldozers demolished residential and agricultural structures belonging to the Zawahra family in the Khallet al‑Sadra Bedouin community near Mikhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The demolitions took place early Sunday morning after soldiers surrounded the area and blocked residents from approaching. The destroyed structures included residential shacks, animal barns, and agricultural rooms.
Bedouin communities around Mikhmas, Jaba’, and Hizma have faced repeated demolition orders, confiscation of water tanks, and movement restrictions as part of ongoing efforts to forcibly displace Palestinian communities and expand nearby colonies, including Ma’ale Mikhmas and the E‑1 corridor.
These demolitions occurred amid escalating Israeli military operations across the West Bank, including widespread invasions, abductions, and property seizures, as well as continued restrictions on movement through military roadblocks and road closures.
