Israeli forces demolished, on Tuesday and Wednesday, several Palestinian-owned homes in the governorates of Jericho, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.
On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli forces demolished four Palestinian-owned homes in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank.
According to Ahmed Ghanem, the head of the local council in Al-Jiftlik, said that the army began demolishing homes belonging to the Bani Odeh, Jahalin, and Al-Kaabna families.
The owner of one of the homes, Qadri Darwish Bani Odeh, said that forces destroyed his 140 square meter home, which was shelter for 11 family members, under the pretext of building without a license.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces demolished, on Wednesday, a Palestinian-owned home in the village of Furush Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.
According to Azem Haj Mohammad, the head of the Furush Beit Dajan Village Council, soldiers stormed the village, accompanied by a bulldozer.
He added that the army proceeded to demolish the 100 square meter home of the citizen, Hisham Abu Thabet, stressing that the home has been standing for more than 20 years.
Meanwhile, occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed the southern West Bank village of Beit Ta’mar, east of Bethlehem, and demolished an under-construction home.
Under the pretext of lacking a permit, Israeli forces knocked down the under-construction, three-storey house in the “Jofa Aziz” area, while blocking residents from approaching.
On Wednesday afternoon, Palestine TV reported that the occupation army demolished two buildings in the “Marj al-Ghizlan” area in Beit Sahour town, east of Bethlehem.
On Tuesday, the army demolished a Palestinian-owned home in the “Al-Jawaya” area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that a military force, accompanied by bulldozers, demolished the two-storey, 300 square meter home belonging to the citizen, Ahmed Hamdan Al-Nawajaa.
It was added that the demolition of the house left the family, consisting of 10 members, homeless and without shelter.
Furthermore, the army demolished, on Wednesday, four commercial barracks in the town of Nahhalin, west of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Media sources said that the army demolished a blacksmith workshop, an aluminum workshop, a car repair facility, and a small restaurant. belonging to the citizen, Mohammad Issa Musallam.
In a statement, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission announced that Israeli authorities carried out 28 demolition operations in April of 2024, affecting 33 facilities, including 8 inhabited homes, 3 uninhabited homes, and 5 agricultural and other facilities in the governorates of Jerusalem, Tulkarem, Jericho, and Hebron.
