Israeli forces detonated, before dawn on Monday, the family home of a slain Palestinian young man in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and injured at least fifteen citizens.
Before midnight on Sunday, a large army force invaded the city of Nablus from several directions and besieged a residential building in the Al-Makhfiya neighborhood.
Soldiers forced residents of the building to evacuate and stand outside in the cold, while engineers and explosives experts wired an apartment for detonation.
The affected apartment is that of the slain young man, Moath Masri, 35, whom the army killed on May 4, 2023, during a military incursion into the Old City of Nablus.
Before dawn on Monday, the army detonated the apartment of the slain young man, while eyewitnesses described the sound of a strong explosion.
The young man’s family home sustained major destruction due to the explosive charges planted by the army.
Media sources added that occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian citizens, causing at least fifteen to sustain inhalation injuries.
The army killed Masri, and two other young men in Nablus, claiming they were responsible for a shooting attack in April, 2023, and the killing of three Israelis in the Jordan Valley.
In related news, illegal Israeli colonizers assaulted a Palestinian citizen in the eastern area of Nablus, and sprayed him with pepper spray.
Media sources said that colonizers stormed the eastern area of the city, attempted to storm Joseph’s Tomb, and then proceeded to the “Qadri Tuqan” School and destroyed one of its gates.
