In the predawn hours of Friday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child and injured seven young men in the town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Media sources reported that occupation soldiers invaded the town, stormed many citizens’ homes, smashed in the door of a commercial shop, and destroyed a café in the town, while local Palestinian youths protested the incursion.
Military vehicles and soldiers on foot, roamed the streets of the town, while the army opened fire and shot eight Palestinians, including one whose injury was deemed “extremely serious”.
Later it was announced that the child, Osaid Tariq Anis Al-Rimawi, 17, died after sustaining a live gunshot wound to the chest, when the army ambushed a group of young men.
The other seven wounded young men were transported to Salfit Governmental Hospital for medical treatment.
Sources added that the army also abducted an unknown number of young men, the identities of whom were not revealed.
