Israeli forces killed, on Monday, four Palestinians including two children, and abducted two young men, in the Al-Far’a refugee camp, southwest of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
On Monday morning, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Far’a refugee camp, southwest of Tubas, followed by large military reinforcements from the south, closing the road connecting the camp to the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Local Palestinian youths resisted the incursion, while armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army, and detonated an explosive device targeting a military bulldozer.
Media sources said that three slain Palestinians arrived at the hospital after suffering from serious live gunshot wounds, the Ministry of Health announced the death of the two young men and one child.
The three were identified as Yazan Al-Khatib, 20, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, Hikmat Samir Muhammad Melhem, 24, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and his brother, the child, Muhammad Samir Muhammad Melhem, 17, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
Later, the Ministry of Health announced that the child, Rashid Habib Al-Aidi, 17, had succumbed to his serious injury after the army shot him in the chest with live ammunition.
According to Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Tubas, the army abducted the two young men, Samer Adnan Fayez Sarhan and Ahmed Muhammad Fayez Sarhan during the incursion.
On Monday afternoon, large crowds of Palestinian citizens gathered in front of the the Turkish Tubas Governmental Hospital to receive the bodies, and the funeral procession marched towards Al-Far’a camp carrying the slain men and children on their shoulders.
Family members and loved ones said their final goodbyes and the funeral prayer was performed for the dead, before they were laid to rest in the camp’s cemetery.
On December 8, the occupation forces carried out a similar attack which led the death of seven Palestinians including a 14-year-old child.
