On Tuesday evening, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, said Israeli missiles and shells have led to 214 deaths and more than 300 injuries in just a few hours.
Dr. Al-Qedra stated that the army committed 17 massacres against entire families in just a few hours and added that a large number of Palestinians remain buried under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, in addition to many corpses on the streets.
Dr. Al-Qedra said that, by bombing hospitals and besieging them, Israel is committing ethnic cleansing, barring the Palestinians from basic medical services.
He also said that, by bombing hospitals in northern Gaza and the mass displacement of thousands of Palestinians, reaching more than 800.000 in northern Gaza alone, Israel is also barring people with special needs and chronic conditions from accessing all sorts of healthcare and posing serious lief-threatening risks on them.
Dr. Al-Qedra called on the international countries, especially politicians and world leaders, to end their deadly silence and complicity and added that the United States is continuing not only to support the Israeli massacres in Gaza but is also providing Israel with all sorts of weapons and missiles and is preventing the Security Council for issuing resolutions that could stop the offensive by using its influence and its Veto power.
He stated that all hospitals and medical centers in southern Gaza are unable to provide services due to the extremely large numbers of injuries, limited medical supplies, and the lack of human resources to deal with the dozens of thousands of injuries.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli soldiers stormed the Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia, northeast of Gaza, and abducted ten doctors and nurses, bringing the number of abducted healthcare workers to 99, including Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiyya, Dr. Ahmad Al-Kahlout and Dr. Ahmad Muhanna, the directors of hospitals in northern Gaza.
Furthermore, an Israeli military drone fatally shot five Palestinians, including a child and an elderly woman, in the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza, bringing the number of slain Palestinians in the hospital over the past two days to 26 after the army bombarded the specialty surgical ward on the thirds floor, and the bridge linking it with the Urgent Care Unit, killing six Palestinians, in addition to nine who were killed by tank shells in the medical center, four near the main gate of the hospital in the Al-Wehda Street, and two in a car in front of the main gate used by the hospital security.
Dr. Al-Qedra said Israeli attacks on medical facilities and staff have led to the death of 310 healthcare workers, including many doctors and medics, and the destruction of 102 ambulances.
The Israeli army also bombed 140 healthcare centers, resulting in destroying 23 hospitals and 53 medical centers and clinics.
Only 413 wounded Palestinians (less than %1 of the total number of injured residents) were allowed to leave Gaza for medical treatment.
Dr. Al-Qedra said that the priority should be for allowing at least 5000 seriously wounded Palestinians to leave Gaza, as they are facing imminent death.
He stated that at least 355.000 Palestinians in Gaza have developed skin conditions and infectious diseases due to the lack of water, food, and medicine, and added that more than 7000 children, 50.000 pregnant women, and 11000 patients with chronic conditions, including those who need Kidney dialysis are in shelters that lack basic supplies.
Dr. Al-Qedra called on international human rights groups to provide all needed supplies, fuel, and machines to the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza in order to reopen it to care for the dozens of thousands of wounded Palestinians, patients, children, and women, especially pregnant women who need prenatal care, and post-delivery care.
Sources at the Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in Gaza City said at least four patients and wounded Palestinians have died in the medical facility due to the lack of medical supplies and the ongoing Israeli military invasions of the hospital for the second day.
They added that the Israeli soldiers abducted at least 150 Palestinians from the hospital, said the abductees were families of patients, and stated that the soldiers also forced all wounded Palestinians out in the cold before abducting two doctors.
The soldiers also surrounded the hospital, preventing ambulances from entering or leaving it, while more Israeli tanks and armored vehicles continued their deployment around it, especially in Palestine Square.
Furthermore, the Israeli army said an officer and a soldier were killed, in addition to seven soldiers who were killed in gunbattles, Monday, bringing the number of soldiers killed in Gaza to 137 since the ground offensive started; the numbers only include those released for publication by the army.
Israeli shells and missiles killed dozens of Palestinians and injured hundreds in Jabalia town in northern Gaza, especially after the army targeted an entire residential building with a barrage of missiles and shells.
Mohammad Al-Hindi, the deputy secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad in Palestine, said the fact that after 74 days of ongoing onslaught on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, armed resistance groups are still striking many areas, including Tel Aviv, proves that Israel is failing in eliminating the resistance, and instead, is killing and wounding dozens of thousands of civilians.
The ongoing Israeli onslaught has led to at least 19.557 deaths and more than 52.586 injuries in Gaza since October 7; most of the casualties are civilians, including women and children.
