Thirteen days into the declared ceasefire, the Israeli military continues to block access to the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza, despite a decision to reopen it over a week ago, amidst ongoing violations across the devastated coastal enclave.

While Rafah remains sealed, Israel permitted the transfer of 50 patients and their companions through the Kerem Shalom (Karem Abu Salem) crossing, in coordination with the World Health Organization.

Violations of the ceasefire persist. On Wednesday morning, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern outskirts of Gaza City’s Shuja’iyya neighborhood, while military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

On Tuesday, Israeli airstrikes killed one civilian in the town of Bani Sohaila, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and wounded another in Gaza City’s southern Zeitoun neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, handed over the bodies of two Israeli soldiers.

According to the daily casualty report from Gaza’s health authorities, hospitals received 13 martyrs, including six whose bodies were recovered from the rubble, and eight wounded individuals in the past 24 hours.

Despite the ceasefire declared on October 11, 2025, violations have continued: 87 Palestinians have been killed, 311 wounded, and 432 bodies recovered.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 67,252 Palestinians, including 20,178 children, 12,236 women, 4,820 elders and 301 journalists, and injured more than 170,203, the majority of whom are children, women and elderly, in the Gaza Strip.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 220 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 40 children and 6 women, since the beginning of this year.

Occupation forces have killed 74 Palestinians in Jenin, 39 in Nablus, 29 in Tubas, 17 in Tulkarem, 18 in Hebron, 17 in Ramallah, 9 in Bethlehem, 7 in Jerusalem, 6 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho, according to the Shireen Observatory.
