At dawn Monday, the Israeli army stormed the city of Jericho in the Jordan Valley, deployed its soldiers throughout many neighborhoods and broke into many citizens homes.
Local Palestinian youths protested the incursion, which soldiers responded to by opening fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man with live rounds in the foot.
Meanwhile, on Monday afternoon, the Israeli army chased several Palestinian shepherds in the northern Jordan Valley, and abducted two of them.
According to a human rights defender in the northern plains of West Bank, Aref Daraghma, Israeli forces chased Palestinian shepherds east of Khirbet Al-Hadidiya in the northern Jordan Valley, and abducted Muhammad Abdullah Hafez Bani Odeh and Ihab Youssef Bani Odeh.
