Israeli forces shot one Palestinian and abducted five, on Wednesday, and invaded several areas in the governorates of Bethlehem and Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

Bethlehem

On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man and abducted another in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, sparking protests.

Soldiers invaded the town and fired live rounds, shooting a Palestinian young man in the foot; he was transported to hospital for treatment.

After storming and searching the home of the young man, Moataz Jamal Fakhri, soldiers abducted him.


East of the city, Israeli forces abducted Muhammad Qadr Al-Daraawi, 38, in the village of Al-Shawara, on Wednesday morning, after invading his home.

Meanwhile, the army stormed and searched the home of Taher Allan in Beit Jala, northwest of Bethlehem, before abducting him.

On Wednesday evening, soldiers closed all entrances to the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, and attacked Muslim worshipers in a local mosque.

Media sources said that the army fired concussion grenades inside and in the vicinity of the Osama bin Zaid Mosque, while citizens were performing the nightly Taraweeh prayers.

Hebron

Israeli forces broke into and ransacked the homes of Ziad Banat and Numan Al-Rajabi, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, taking them to an unknown location.

It was added that soldiers invaded the town of Ad-Dhahiriya, southwest of Hebron and searched several citizens’ homes.

On Wednesday evening, the occupation army invaded the town of Doura, southwest of Hebron, and erected a flying military roadblock, stopping and searching citizens’ vehicles.

It was added that an infantry unit fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades at citizens near the Hanina roundabout; no injuries were reported.

Later, the army stormed the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, positioned soldiers in the Al-Dhahr area, and broke into many citizens’ homes.

Media sources said that soldiers occupied the rooftops of homes, while local Palestinian youths protested the incursion.

Soldiers fired live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at those who resisted the army; no injuries were reported.
