Israeli military drones fired, on Monday at night, missiles at a Palestinian security post, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. The army said it was retaliating to a shell that was reportedly fired from Gaza.

Media sources in Gaza said the drones fired at least two missiles at a Palestinian security post, causing damage.

The Israeli army claimed that a shell was fired from Gaza and landed in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council, causing no damage or casualties.

It added that its drones targeted “Hamas sites” in the Gaza Strip, in retaliation to the shell.
