In the Gaza Strip, Israeli military violations continued amid escalating humanitarian concerns, while Gaza’s Health Ministry reported a rising death toll and additional casualties despite the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian woman died on Saturday evening from wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli attack on the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. They identified her as Latifa Ziad Jabr and said she had been critically injured in an Israeli strike on the refugee camp three months earlier. Her husband, Saqer Abu Karim, was previously killed.
Israeli forces opened fire toward displacement tents in the Sudaniya area of northwestern Gaza, moderately wounding a Palestinian child. In a separate incident, an Israeli airstrike on the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City, injured three Palestinians.
Local sources reported that, before dawn, Israeli quadcopter drones dropped explosive devices near homes on Mushtaha Street and by the Shuja’iyya market, east of Gaza City. No injuries were reported. At the same time, heavy gunfire from Israeli military positions east of the city targeted nearby neighborhoods.
In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas northwest of Rafah, while Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward southern parts of Khan Younis. Israeli naval vessels also fired toward the coast of Khan Younis.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen as displaced Palestinians face severe water shortages. Long queues for limited supplies have become a daily reality amid high temperatures and extensive damage to infrastructure, worsening living conditions across the territory.
Aid agencies say damage to water systems, health facilities, and shelters has left displaced Palestinians with inadequate access to essential services. They have called for sustained humanitarian access and larger deliveries of water, medical supplies, and shelter materials, warning that current assistance does not meet the needs of a population subjected to repeated displacement.
Acting UNRWA Commissioner-General Christian Saunders called on world leaders to protect humanitarian workers serving conflict-affected populations. His appeal came as aid agencies warned that needs in Gaza continued to outpace available resources.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that hospitals across the Gaza Strip received 17 bodies and treated 27 wounded Palestinians during the previous 48 hours. The ministry said the 17 bodies comprised five Palestinians recently killed, one person who died from earlier injuries, and 11 people recovered from beneath the rubble.
According to the ministry, numerous victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and on roads because ambulance and Civil Defense crews are unable to reach them.
The ministry said that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,344 Palestinians and injured 4,464 others. It said the fatalities included approximately 315 children and 160 women, and that emergency teams had recovered 815 bodies from areas that were previously inaccessible.

The ministry further reported that the Palestinian death toll since October 7, 2023, had risen to at least 73,651, with more than 174,575 people wounded. It said the fatalities included approximately 21,692 children and 13,075 women.
The Health Ministry said it recently added 160 deaths to the cumulative toll after its committee responsible for documenting fatalities verified the identities and records.
The ministry added that many victims remained beneath the rubble across the Gaza Strip and that the toll was expected to rise as recovery efforts continued.
