Israeli occupation forces killed six Palestinians and injured more than twenty on Saturday, in the 289th consecutive day of “ceasefire” violations across the Gaza Strip. The attacks included drone strikes, artillery shelling, and live fire targeting Gaza City, central Gaza, and Khan Younis, with Israeli units simultaneously carrying out demolitions and incursions in several areas.
In Gaza City, local medical sources confirmed that the Director of the North Gaza Police, Abdul‑Nasser Mohammad Al‑Maqadma, 54, was killed when an Israeli military drone targeted his vehicle in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, part of Israel’s ongoing pattern of strikes on police and civil authorities.
The Interior Ministry said that Israeli forces have killed 53 police officers in direct attacks since the “ceasefire” was announced last October, including seven officers in the July 14 strike on the Jabalia police station.
It added that Al‑Maqadma had served in the Palestinian police since its establishment in 1994 and previously headed the police force in the Jabalia refugee camp.
The Ministry described these repeated attacks as a deliberate campaign to dismantle Gaza’s police and other law‑enforcement bodies, leaving civilian areas without basic security and increasing chaos across the Strip.
In the eastern part of Gaza City, Suhail Ramadan Hajji died of wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike on the Zeitoun neighborhood. Israeli forces continued firing illumination rounds over Zeitoun overnight, followed by intense artillery shelling and tank fire east of the neighborhood.
Al‑Jazeera English reported similar bombardments in recent days, noting repeated Israeli armor movements toward Salahuddin Road and the eastern junctions of Gaza City, where several civilians have been killed throughout the week.
In central Gaza, one Palestinian was killed when Israeli forces bombed a displacement tent in the Zawayda area, where thousands of families have been sheltering in makeshift structures repeatedly targeted since the beginning of the year.
Later in the day, an Israeli drone strike west of the Nuseirat refugee camp killed clinician Hammam Ragheb Eid and injured several others.
Israeli forces also fired a missile at the gate of al‑Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al‑Balah, hitting an area adjacent to the journalists’ tent at the entrance.
In addition, Palestinian rescue teams recovered a body from a vehicle targeted near Abu Shreikh roundabout in northern Gaza, where Israeli forces have maintained intermittent fire throughout the week. Israeli military vehicles later carried out incursions and bulldozing operations in the Abu al‑‘Ajeen area south‑east of Deir al‑Balah.
In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces bombed a home belonging to the Abu Rish family in the al‑Buraq area west of Khan Younis.
In addition, Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced families in Al‑Mawasi, Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, killing 19‑year‑old Khaled Al‑Breem.
His family said Khaled had just passed his high‑school exams in the Gaza Strip, with his results announced yesterday, and added that he was killed as he stepped out of his tent to buy sweets to celebrate his achievement.
In addition, an Israeli drone fired a missile at Street 5 in Mawasi Khan Younis, wounding a Palestinian.
The eastern and southern neighborhoods of the city were subjected to heavy artillery fire throughout the morning, alongside a large demolition operation east of Khan Younis, where Israeli forces detonated multiple structures inside the so‑called yellow zone. Israeli forces also opened heavy fire east of al‑Qarara, north‑east of Khan Younis.

Al‑Jazeera correspondents reported that these demolitions have expanded over recent days, pushing additional families toward already overcrowded areas and further eroding what remains of civilian infrastructure.
Humanitarian agencies stated that Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire through airstrikes, artillery fire, demolitions, and severe restrictions on movement, including limits on aid trucks, fuel, and civilian travel.

UN OCHA reports that less than thirty‑five percent of expected aid trucks have been allowed into Gaza this week, worsening shortages of water, medicine, and shelter, and leaving thousands of families without basic services.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said that since the declared “ceasefire” on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,191 Palestinians and injured 3,853, while 803 bodies have been recovered from destroyed areas.
The cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,317 Palestinians killed and 173,961 injured.
The Ministry added that many victims remain under rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face severe obstacles preventing them from reaching bombed areas due to ongoing Israeli fire and movement restrictions.
