Israeli occupation bulldozers razed a large area of Palestinian-owned land in Abu Dis, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, the Palestine News Network reported.
Bassam Bahr, the head of the Committee for the Defense of Abu Dis lands, said that Israeli bulldozers carried out leveling operations in the eastern part of the town, near the illegal “Kedar” settlement, built on land belonging to the Palestinian residents of Abu Dis.
Bahr added that the area was estimated at 1500 dunams, preventing its owners from working on or reclaiming the land, which is located within the (E 1) settlement scheme. Israel’s planned settlement venture has been met with international rejection due to its potential to disconnect the southern occupied West Bank from its north.
