Israeli colonialist settlers, illegally squatting on Palestinian lands, burnt more than 15 Dunams of Palestinian farmlands and a cave, Saturday, near Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Fuad al-‘Amour, and coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committee in the Masafer Yatta area and the Southern Hebron Hills, said the Israeli assailants came from the illegal Havat Ma’on and Avigal colonies, which were installed on stolen Palestinian lands, in Masafer Yatta.
Al-‘Amour added that the colonists burnt more than 15 dunams of Palestinian farmlands planted with seasonal crops, owned by Palestinians from the Rib’ey family, in the al-Kharrouba area in the Tiana village.
He also said the colonists burnt a cave in the Saroura area, owned by Palestinians from the al-’Amour family.
When the Palestinians rushed to defend their lands and extinguish the fire, Israeli soldiers attacked them with live rounds and concussion grenades.
