Illegal Israeli colonizers, on Thursday, assaulted Palestinian truck driver and burned his vehicle near a settlement northeast of Ramallah, and carried out a series of attacks in various regions of the occupied West Bank.
In the northern occupied West Bank, dozens of illegal Israeli colonizers attacked twice, on Thursday, Palestinian-owned vehicles at the Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus.
On Thursday afternoon and again on Thursday night, dozens of settlers gathered at the military roadblock, and hurled rocks at Palestinian-owned vehicles, causing damage to several vehicles.
Before dawn on Friday, a group of illegal colonizers ambushed a Palestinian-owned truck near the “Kochav HaShahar” settlement, northeast of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, assaulted its driver and burned his truck.
Media sources said that several Israeli settlers stopped a truck near the settlement, built on expropriated Palestinian lands, assaulted and moderately injured its driver, and set fire to the truck.
The Arab 48 website quoted an Israeli army statement which revealed that two Israeli officers and a soldier sustained mild injuries as a result of the attack.
The army said that “Dozens of Israeli citizens dealt violently with an army force that tried to disperse them from a Palestinian truck driver who attacked him and set fire to his truck near Kochav HaShahar.”
The statement added that “two Israeli army officers and a soldier were slightly injured and were treated at the site”.
Meanwhile in occupied Jerusalem, an Israeli colonist, on Thursday morning, ran over a female Palestinian citizen in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
Media sources said that an Israeli colonizers driving on a motorcycle at high speed, struck and injured a Palestinian woman; she was transported to hospital for treatment.
In the southern West Bank, dozens of colonizers, under the full protection of Israeli soldiers, invaded the “Tel Ma’in” archaeological area in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
On Thursday afternoon, dozens of settlers invaded the archaeological site and performed Talmudic rituals, while occupation soldiers deployed on the streets, impeded the movement of Palestinian citizens.
