On Monday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, assaulted and repeatedly beat an elderly Palestinian man and a young man in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Media sources said the paramilitary colonizers from two illegal colonialist outposts struck with batons an elderly man, Ahmad Barghash Shawahin, causing many cuts and bruises, before Palestinian Red Crescent medics rushed him to the Yatta Governmental Hospital, after suffering moderate wounds.

The sources added that the colonizers also attacked a young man, Salem Daifallah Azazna,  in the Al-Boweib village, east of Yatta.

On Monday night, extremist paramilitary Israeli colonizers torched Palestinian lands in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
