On Wednesday, a group of paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers in Um Safa village, northwest of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
Marwan Sabah, the mayor of Um Safa, said dozens of colonizers invaded Palestinian lands in the village’s southern area.
Sabah added that the colonizers attacked the farmer in front of Israeli soldiers, who did not intervene until other Palestinians rushed to the area and started forcing the colonizers away.
In related news, a group of Israeli colonizers closed the road near Mikhmas town, northeast of Jerusalem, and refused to allow Palestinian cars through.
On Wednesday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded the Al-Awja village, north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, destroyed an under-construction home and uprooted trees.
On Tuesday dawn, illegal Israeli colonizers cut electricity poles between two towns south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
