Late Thursday night, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked many Palestinians and their cars near the Ein Al-Baida village junction in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said the colonizers gathered at the junction shortly before midnight, accompanied by many Israeli soldiers.
They added that the colonizers hurled stones at many Palestinians and their cars at the junction, causing damage.
Instead of removing the colonizers, Israeli soldiers fired many gas bombs at the Palestinians, causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Earlier Thursday, Israeli soldiers uprooted 340 olive trees in Rafat village, west of Salfit, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
Also, the paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian land in Kafr Ed-Deek town, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit, uprooted many trees, and destroyed property.
Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
