On Friday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers infiltrated the Sawiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and burnt a Palestinian car.

Local sources said several paramilitary colonizers attacked homes in the Al-Joura area on the outskirts of the village.

They added that the colonizers burnt one car before the Palestinians intercepted them, forcing them to leave.

The attack is part of a serious escalation targeting various Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.

In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded the northern area of Salfit city, in the central West Bank, and confiscated a Palestinian car, owned by Saed Hussein Madi.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Israeli colonizers cut 300 grape vines, tried to run over a Palestinian citizen’s sheep, razed privately owned land, and assaulted two children in various areas in the occupied West Bank.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
