Illegal Israeli colonizers bulldozed, Thursday night, large areas of Palestinian land in Qaryout village, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in the northern West Bank, said the colonizers bulldozed, so far, lands stretching at least three kilometers (1.86 Miles).
He added that the bulldozing was carried out by three bulldozers brought by the illegal colonizers to uproot the Palestinian lands.
The official said the colonizers are preparing to pave a road that would link between Shilo and Eli illegal colonies, built on stolen Palestinian lands, and warned that the colonizers are planning to uproot large areas of Palestinian land in the area to establish roads and expand their colonies.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
