On Friday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers burned agricultural lands in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank’s central part.

Sayel Kanaan, the head of the Burqa village council, said the paramilitary colonizers came from the illegal “Oz Zion” colonialist outpost, established on stolen Palestinian lands of the area.

Kanaan added that the colonizers invaded the Palestinian lands on the northwestern outskirts of the village and set fire to agricultural lands adjacent to citizens’ homes.

Kanaan mentioned that the colonizers’ attack was immediately followed by an invasion by Israeli soldiers into the village, and added that the soldiers fired concussion grenades and tear gas bombs in the town’s neighborhoods and streets.

Palestinian firefighters rushed to the area before the soldiers stopped them and prevented the locals from reaching the burnt lands, while many rushed on foot to extinguish it.
