On Monday, illegal paramilitary colonizers invaded Palestinian lands in the Abu Shubban village, east of Yatta town, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, and burnt an agricultural room.
Osama Makhamra, a local nonviolent activist against the illegal Israeli colonialist activities, stated that the paramilitary colonizers burnt an agricultural room owned by Ali Ayesh Qa’eesh after storming his land.
Makhamra added that the colonizers also wrote racist graffiti, calling for the expulsion of Palestinians.
He also stated that just a few days earlier, the colonizers burnt a car owned by Mahed Dababsa in the same area, wrote graffiti on his home, and tried to invade a home belonging to Palestinians from the Al-Adra family.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
