On Sunday morning, a group of illegal paramilitary colonizers fenced two Palestinian homes in the Arab Al-Mleihat community northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Hasan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights, said the colonizers invaded the community and fenced the homes of Mousa Suleiman Ka’abna and Mohammad Mousa Ka’abna.
Mleihat added that the two families, including children and women, are now isolated in their homes.
He also said that two days ago, the colonizers isolated another home in the same community as part of their constant effort to force the Palestinians to leave the area, after turning their homes and village into prisons.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
