On Sunday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked and injured a Palestinian man in Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
Ahmad Salah, a local nonviolent activist against the colonialist activities in Al-Khader, said many colonizers, accompanied by soldiers, invaded the Baten Al-Ma’si area and forced Palestinian farmers out of their lands.
Salah added that the colonizers assaulted Ala’ Omar Abu Ghalyoon, 42, causing many deep cuts, and bruises, before he was moved to Beit Jala Governmental Hospital.
In addition, Israeli soldiers abducted Zayed Ahmad Salama, from Aqaba town, north of Tubas in the northeast West Bank, after stopping him at a military roadblock near Nablus, in the West Bank’s northern part.
In related news, the colonizers injured a Palestinian woman in the occupied West Bank’s Northern Plains.
In addition, the colonizers installed an illegal outpost on Palestinian lands near the Al-Awja village spring, north of Jericho in the northeastern West Bank, in the area where, a month ago, they burnt four residential sheds for shepherds.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
